Warranty management is the tracking of supplier warranties against the assets they cover — their scope, term, start condition and status — so that coverage is identified before repair spend is authorized rather than after it is paid. Industrial warranties frequently expire on a compound condition, running out on time or on accumulated usage, whichever comes first, which requires tracking both variables in parallel.
